How does it work?
X39 uses a patented phototherapy technology. The patch reflects specific wavelengths of light back to the skin, which creates a signal that supports natural biological processes already present within the body. Nothing enters the body — the body simply receives information through light.
How long do I wear it?
The patch is typically worn for 12 hours per day, then removed for 12 hours. This on/off cycle is part of the recommended protocol. Many members wear it during their waking hours and remove it before sleep, though some prefer to wear it overnight.
Where do I wear the patch?
The patch is generally placed on specific accupuncture points on the body. The studies required static placement points. Lifewave indicates placement as either the C7 point at the base of the neck or two finger widths below the belly button. Your Patch & Chat guide can help you find the best placement for your goals.
Can I exercise with it?
Yes. The patch is water-resistant and designed to stay in place during normal daily activities, including exercise. Many members report wearing it during workouts and find it supports their recovery experience.

David Schmidt
David is the inventor of LifeWave technology and founder and CEO of LifeWave.
David’s experience in business and product development spans over 35 years and includes a formal education in Management Information Systems and Biology at Pace University in Pleasantville, NY. David then went on to pursue several entrepreneurial endeavors and, as a result, owned successful companies involved in manufacturing and product development. One of these companies, Advanced Applications Group, is a research and development center that specialized in energy-production technologies for both military and commercial applications. During his time with AAG, David developed new methods for producing hydrogen and oxygen, designed and prototyped multi-fueled, bladeless-turbine power generation systems, and constructed metal-combustion rocket engines.
As a result of his innovations, David was presented with an honorary doctorate by Dr. Alexander Marinaccio of the International Hall of Fame of Inventors. In addition, as a result of work performed in the design of emergency oxygen systems for General Dynamics and the U.S. Navy, David was invited to participate in the Navy’s next generation mini-sub program.
